Stories from the Navi (Prophets)

The fifth and sixth grader students have been studying stories and lessons learned from the Book of Judges as part of their Navi class. 

They have prepared two videos as part of the Sharing Hebrew & Judaic evening.

Sukkot @ Hillel!

All the students of Hillel Academy were able to visit a mobile Sukkah this year.

Each  class climbed into the back of a pickup truck Sukkah and were able to make the Bracha (blessing) on the Lulav & Etrog

We also had a chance to eat cookies and to make the special bracha for eating in the Sukkah

We also ate our lunch in Beth Abraham's Sukkah on Wednesday!

High Holidays in Mrs. Sloane-Brenner's Class

This year the children were given the great honor of helping to

change the regular Torah covers to the traditional white covers which are
used for the High Holidays of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. 

White
symbolizes clean and pure.
